Today I went out to the Marina for a bunch of things to do. I decided to visit this Apothecary in the Marina. It doesn't look the same as the one in the Castro. It's smaller and not as intricately designed inside. They have the same menu as the Castro. I decided to get a pack of gummies. That would be my favorite treat. It was $20. If you have an account, they will sign you in.

First time at a dispensary. Came from out of town and didn't really research much on where to go before we landed here. Glad We did .. we walked in and were immediately greeted by two clean cut and friendly employees. The screening process literally took 2 minutes and they sent us to the counter. The woman at the counter was extremely informative and laid back. Made us feel right at home and helped us choose a product that fit our needs. We enjoyed our purchase. From the time we walked into the door we were in and out within ten minutes. Only thing I would recommend is having products more visible to the customer. It was hard to read and see the products due to the counter being in the way and where the products are placed.

Quality & assortments is what I'm looking for and the Apothecarium delivers its in the marina close to my office and I'm digging this spot. Professionals make it easy be back soon!

A great experience.  First time at a dispensary as preparation for upcoming shoulder surgery and they were very welcoming and helpful. An incredible amount of options are available and they were very helpful with all of my newbie questions. Inside is like a very nice cocktail bar (a nice Manhattan while discussing Cannabis options would not feel out of place....albeit not permitted).

I ordered 7gs of "sherbacio" for 100$ and it was dry and even had seeds in it. The employees were great. I smoked the weed in two days because it was so dry, usually 7 grams would last me a week

I've had mixed feelings about Apothecarium, but once they opened up a super convenient location along my commute, I've become a regular shopper. The store has a good clean layout with plenty of seating while you wait for a bud tender to call your name.  This is a newer model that helps manage long lines so people can browse. Thankfully, I've only ever waited a few minutes for my name to be called. I typically only work with one employee for my orders, Brett, as he is knowledgeable about the products they sell and has in-depth information about the companies. I'm a bit of a weed nerd, have years of growing experience, and dabbled in concentrate creation.  I've conversed with many bud tenders and Brett is one of the few that can keep up.  The few times I've had the unfortunate experience of missing Brett, the other tenders were also knowledgeable. I find it best to talk to the tenders regarding the product selections available as a simple menu usually isn't visual enough for me.  I usually like to inspect/smell what I'm about to order. Thankfully, this can all be done if you ask!My only critique are some of the overpriced products that have started creeping on the menu.  I've seen concentrates priced at 80-100 bucks that clearly aren't any better than the other good options they have priced around 35-50.  This isn't a jab at Apothecarium per say, but ethically I feel that filling up your menu with overpriced products that aren't really any better hurts the scene. This isn't as much of an issue now that they have expanded the space on their menu to allow more options. Overall I like this store, the friendly staff, and recommend you check it out!

If I ever imagine what Lindsey Lohan's trip to buy MJ looks like it would probably include The Apothecarium.This place is classier than 90% of the bars in the Marina. You can buy pretty much anything and the best part is that there's no random homeless guy trying to buy $10 worth of weed.  It takes them less than a minute to process your info and build you an account and then you're able to buy anything.Pro tip - bring cash

I was glad to know this was within walking g distance from me so that's already a plus. But if the customer service was going to be bad I would've gladly paid to go further away because that's really important to me. I began coming here every two weeks or so since the pandemic . And I am so happy it is in my neighborhood, the team here is incredibly genuinely friendly and welcoming . You can tell they aren't just going through the motions . When I needed recommendations via their chat customer service online, I had spoken to Brett and Rose and I have received the best recommendations , patience and true blue customer service. In person is incredible too, every agent is friendly and explains each process of the sale. To top it off, they are SAFE SAFe SAFE. They made sure people were lined up 6 feet apart, followed all COVID appropriate rules that would make any customer feel safe.

Though they over-charged me by $450, apparently adding an extra 0 to my total, manager Brett could not be bothered with apologies or compassion. They have no way to put the money back into my debit account, so I was told to come pick up the money in cash and as a concession, they would give me a discount off my next purchase. Brett wanted to explain to me how this happened and why they couldn't put it back on my card when all I wanted was the understanding that it is a big deal! I'm glad I even had that in my account at the time as I usually don't and my account would have been overdrawn!! Work on the empathy dude, and no, I don't need and discounts as I won't be coming back! I hope you don't either!!!!!

Excellent run company and very friendly! The delivery service is great and they really care about people. So many businesses would do very well to follow their business model! Thanks to all of you for being there for for my entire apartment building during stressful times!

This is my go-to favorite dispensary.  It also helps it's one block from where I live, those at the front desk are so friendly and the bud tenders are always willing to help answer questions and talk.  So, to me, it's an all around win!

As with the Market street location, the staff here is fantastic. They take the time to talk through your needs and thoroughly explain their products. The interior of the store is unlike any other dispensary I've ever seen. It's obvious there was a lot of thought put into every inch of the store, from the moss wall to the crystal chandelier (my favorite!!) to the gorgeous furniture. I highly recommend.

Cool place,and a very nice atmosphere!Max helped me out the other day, he's amazing!!He knew everything about every strain that I asked about and suggested a nice indica to help me sleep. I went for it and ohhhh maaan, I was hitting the Zzzzzs is no time. 5/5 would comeback for some more suggestions!

I love coming here and being greeted by their friendly staff at check-in. Some of them remember me so we have a bit of a small conversation too, which is always nice! They usually say goodbye to me as well when I am heading out, which is always appreciated because so very few businesses do that. Their pricing isn't what I'd consider the greatest deal, but they do offer this sort of loyalty program so you can build up your discount points and get $ off your purchase. It's always a nice surprise. This location is also closest to me as I come in from Mill Valley.

I've been hearing a lot about things about The Apothecarium ever since pot became legal in California. Their Marina location has been getting plenty of press, and a number of my 420-friendly friends had been singing this dispensary's praises. So a few weeks back, I finally paid this place a visit.Full Disclaimer: I didn't come here for recreational purposes. I actually came her to pick up some vape cartridges to assist with my recent insomnia. A few friends had recommended a particular brand that they swore would help me fall asleep (and not feel like a zombie in the morning). The store itself is not exactly what I expected. When you walk in, there's a check-in desk to show your ID and a security guard. Once you get past that, the space feels more like an elegant cafe. But instead of baristas brewing coffee, they're peddling weed, CBD oils, edibles, you name it. Our salesperson was super helpful/knowledgable and made the experience comfortable and painless. I told her what I was looking for and she made some recommendations. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Easy peasy.And best of all, I'm starting to get a good night's rest again. So yeah, I'd def return here.

This is definitely a great place to buy cannabis- and they're probably, a very knowledgeable staff... however our salesman guy was extremely rude, which we never, EVER would have said anything about... but at the very end, after we bought $130 worth of gummies, cookies, tablets, etc, he asked what type of bag I wanted -- I responded with "whatever," truly meaning, 'it didn't matter' - and then he responded to me with, "okay ma'am, I've had enough. You've been rude since you came up, and you've interrupted me numerous times..." and after that, I was numb from his 'out of the blue' comment, and couldn't remember anything else he was complaining about. Still Shocked from this!I've never been treated like this -- by a salesperson, whom I just purchased something. Mr Personality doesn't belong in a place like this. My laid back husband was also blown away by his rudeness, which definitely says something! I think I'll try another place next time.

They don't take the customers lives or the pandemic seriously. They security guards act cool with visibly sick homeless people hanging out there walking around spitting and spraying their spit into the air purposely trying to infect customers. It's total bullshit

Love this place! Top quality stuff but not to mention top quality service!!!! Rene has helped me several times recently!!! She is beyond friend and knowledge and has helped me help my ailing father get completely off his pain meds and feeling 1000x better. The amount of knowledge Rene has on the products available is absolutely amazing, if you're looking on some top notch advice on working with combating any issue with cannabis Rene knows the ins and outs of flowers, topicals, cbd oils, edibles etc .... stop by!!

Went for the first time today. Staff was friendly, store was nice, and the staff seemed to really be taking covid seriously which I appreciated.

If you want a fancy experience that makes you feel like you're in a salon, then come here.  The people are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.  They've got a good selection.If you want a cheap neighborhood dispensary that has good deals, this is not your place.  I'd recommend Purple Star instead.But if you're willing to put up with the high prices and want the convenience or the classy environment, this is a lovely place to get it.

Nice clean and relaxed atmosphere that is reflected in their prices. Very friendly and professional staff. Parking tricky but this place is at edge of Marina, so I have always found a nearby space.

Probably the best dispensary I have been to in SF. It was an easy and smooth experience. I got help from David who was great. I asked him probably 10000000 questions and he happily answered every single one with knowledge. Also the inside is very beautiful... I loved my experience and will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you David

I'm one of those people who avoided smoking weed because of the paranoia factor. The last time I had smoked was back in the 90's. I got introduced to a vape pen about a month ago and LOVED IT! No paranoia, no coughing, no odor. I went to The Apothecarium today and it was such a pleasant/great experience. Giselle helped me and was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable. She educated me a bit on THC and CBD. You're not rushed here, and you don't feel intimidated. I ended up purchasing a few things today: teas which are new to me and disposable vapes that I'm going to try out and see if it helps me with sleeping. I highly recommend any newbies to come here. The people are great here and so helpful. As a new member, I look forward to coming back.

Quick and efficient service. I was kindly greeted at the front door. It was my first time, so they had to build a profile and check ID. Cash only. $5 off on your first purchase! Menus to look at while you wait. Knowledgeable and friendly staff :) Most importantly, quality products.

Good spot, busy as all hell sometimes, newb factor is huge- the big sturdy chick will explain way more to customers than they could ever want to hear which is annoying when you're waiting and just want to get in and out and she's all "well MY personal fav, because I have a high tolerance, me me me me meeeeeee let's talk a little more about ME  but I guess that's better than being rude or NOT helpful. Too much packaging IMO I mean the box you get an eighth in is amazing but way too much wasted packaging with all the weird multicolored descriptive bullshit  "for hearty belly laughs" blah blah. Frankly I'm a fan of Green Door because they have a lock for super insane buds, straight forward this place is more commercialized and run very well from that perspective. 5 stars for convenience and overall great service.

As a regular customer at the Castro location (where I rate it with 5 stars), I experienced a condescending attitude that floated above my transaction. And then, after arriving home in Marin, I was surprised to discover the wrong product: a "dose pen" instead of a "vape pen cartridge"  As the packaging is similar, my mistake for not checking, but theirs too as well.

The check in process was easy and the woman was very friendly and experienced. There was a gentleman working the cash register behind the counter was quite brusque and not very nice to me as a customer. The prices weren't great and I didn't feel like being a patron after that interaction so I left.

Great experience. Very hands on and supportive team there. Makes the whole process of buying and/or learning about cannibis very easy and understandable.

I went in to get something that will help my back & nerve pain and was suggested a tincture. I also wanted my own pen to relax after work and was recommended Sunday Goods' Soothe pen. The place was clean, friendly, and I love my products! I haven't been to many dispensaries and often feel intimidated because I don't really know what I'm talking about, but the people were welcoming and knowledgeable. Just remember it's cash or debit only!

I'm a patient with a lot of pain. I've been tested negative twice for this pandemic. Three times I've come here three times people have been rude. The reason why I have an n95 mask is because I live with a healthcare professional. The guy forces the tape on my mask. I tell him I have lung problems. He tells me that I'll sneeze on him. I haven't had a cold in 7 months, I'm probably healthier than this guy, but he's rude. This isn't the first time! Twice before these people are rude! Get in line don't get in line. I have cancer a preexisting condition. I've been compliant until today. This is not for health reasons... this is to preserve masks for healthcare professionals I'm dating and living with a healthcare professional. They are rude and act like Nazis! Perhaps they should stop getting stoned and read both the signs and the news. Healthcare professionals and family members can wear n95 masks. It's not a health risk...

Spent $70+ and did NOT enjoy the productThe pre rolls didnt do much for me. They also tasted like cigarette not "pineapple".Strawberry gummies didnt really affect me. I was eating 3-4.The menu also needs more information: Total Quantity, THC%

Awesome peacefully environment.  Knowledgeable staff, with tons of help. Easy, smooth and delightful.... idk,  kinda like a happy Starbucks run, get a venti mocha...hit the Apothecarium.... then the farmers marketLife is sweet..... @ the Apothecarium

This is such a beautiful club and the staff are super knowledgeable. Cannabis is here now and it's recreational and medical with a discount for the state card holders. I work in a nearby tourist hotel at the Wharf,,where people come from all over the world and they ask where to go I tell them to go to the Apothecarium on Lombard and tell them Mykey sent me. Last 4/20 we had a full sell out that weekend with many people saying they came here specifically to experience it for the first time. Canna tourism is off and running !!!

My god these guys are efficient. Even in COVID circumstances, you couldn't get in and out any more cleanly with exactly what you want.

I have been to multiple locations but only had one bad experience. Also going to soften that one up a bit. I didn't know that I didn't know how to open a pre roll. A true Marc Roth edit is forthcoming. For now I'll just leave it as "editing..."

I just walked out of this place 10 minutes ago. Last time there was easily over a year.   I walk in and my ID to the gentleman at the counter he says, "Hey Jason how you doing good to see you!  Your good man come on in." So I stepped to the closest available counter space, which has a menu sitting directly on top. I don't need the menu because they already know what I want, so I look around trying to make eye contact with one of the staff as they continue to walk passed me. After about 5 minutes I catch the attention of a guy who's walking behind the counter. I said " May I ask you a question please?" His response was is anybody helping you yet? My thought was Really guy?  He turned on his heel in walked halfway down the counter and started talking to the guy leaning on the wall behind the I hear him as clear as a bell when he leans into the guy and says, "Keep an eye on that guy he looks like he could be a problem. I was looking dead at the dude he said it too and I just shook my head and kind of laughed. I'm need to go on about how grossly rude and unprofessional that was but I won't. Instead let me tell you why.

One of the most uptight dispensaries I've ever been to.  Sticking to Basa and Eaze from now on.  They were rude as all hell.  I miss the dispensaries in Colorado and Portland.  The guy helping me out blamed me when he got the order wrong.  They were annoyed with us when we came back in a 2nd time because we forgot an item.  I felt like they were ready to punish you for even walking the wrong way.  I'm an ER doctor and find that I carry myself well and not much surprises  me.  Will never step foot in here again.

UPDATE5 stars for customer service per the new general manager David. He personally gave me a call regarding the below issue and offered a solution that works for all, and will work on improving customer service in the stores. Thank you!I bought 2 Dosist brand disposable pens, one for me, one for a gift last week. Comes with 50 hits. The instructions on the picture. Moderate user 2 hits per hour. I tried one, waited 10 min, didn't feel it. Another hit, waited and nothing. I hit it 8 more times and nothing. I payed 49 dollars for each. Came to the store, they wont receive the product unless it's defective. I believe that the product is defective, maybe a bad batch?, it was delivering the hit but there is no cannabis effect. Before coming to the store I contacted Dosist, they said "Our dispensary partner should honor a replacement/refund if you are having battery issues or you've purchased the pen within 2 weeks and used less than 25% of the formulation" the apothecarium didn't honor it, they didnt even want to receive the other one that was unopened. They said the rules are only returns if it's not working and that it's my problem if I am not getting the desired effects. Come on! This is a premium dispensary and a premium product, what the hell. Also not very welcoming attitude from the staff. Very disappointing product and dispensary, very expensive, does not keep up with the customer service. My friends and family won't buy never again in this place. We'll see what Dosist says about it.

Great selection of products. I only use CBD and there are many options available. Thank you for the ease of selection and fast service.

My all-time favorite cannabis dispensary has to be Apothecarium.As soon as you walk in you're greeted by friendly employees at the front desk not to mention I was given a five dollar discount on my first purchase.The customer service reps are very educated on all type of cannabis products for example they have a very good topicals, edibles, pre-rolls, and really good deals on marijuana in bulk LOL. So if you're in the area which is located on Lombard Street stop by trust me this place you cannot go wrong.

No wait time. Employee was very knowledgeable (cannot remember his name)but he was able to answer all my questions and help me make my purchase. Would definitely recommend this business.

First time in a California dispensary and it was a very good experience. I did have to wait about 10 minutes, but I had expected a line so I wasn't bothered. The line wasn't primarily bc there were a lot of people, but because each customer was given as much time as we needed...which was good bc I needed time, too!My budtender was Lisa; she was knowledgeable and patiently answered my many questions about products and dosages and price. I do think by the end she'd had enough of me, though! That's ok, I can be a challenge and I think I had her attention for at least 20 minutes. Thanks, Lisa, for not rushing me. The store is lovely, with a relaxed but professional atmosphere and a nice selection. Location was easy to find and I got a (metered) parking spot right out front. I got some edibles and some cartridges. I would tell you which but they aren't on me and...I've forgotten their names  ;)

I got the recommendation from a friend in my search for migraine relief. I'm new to the world of CBD (the reason I was there) and had no idea what I was looking for. I was nervous walking in (and also in a lot of pain at the moment) and didn't know how the experience would go. The check in was easy and quick and once I got called up to talk to someone at the counter I got all the information I needed. I can't remember the gentleman's name that helped me (sorry!) but he reassured me it was okay that I didn't know exactly what I needed. He answered all my questions and gave me plenty of information and I felt comfortable with his recommendations. I'll definitely be back if/ when necessary!

I was very pleased when I found out that the Apothecarium was opening a location in the Marina. The quality, selection, and service is top-notch. As someone who was looking to explore the various medical cannabis options, they took the time to explain how products differ. I was debating between two topical ointments. I ended up buying one and they gave me a free sample of the other to compare. And if you are just looking for some quality bud, they have some amazing strains. The interior is clean and modern and the staff is extremely friendly. I'd highly recommend to all.

A bit pricy and precious. But! great one on one personal service in a delightfully upscale environment.

Greetings Owners of Apothecarium, Congratulations. It brings me joy that your business is so successful you can afford to coddle incompetent, self absorbed prima-donnas on your sales staff. It's noble of you to keep some of them off the streets.  I have decades of retail experience as a top producer for purveyors of luxury and motorsport goods so hopefully I know just a bit about a sensible way to run a retail establishment. This evening I stopped by your Marina location to make sure there is nothing unusual about your business as I wait on literally thousands of out of town people a year and many of them ask where to get weed. I've been sending people to Grass Roots as it is close to my work. Though further away from my work I thought your place could be great alternative as it's in an area without urban grit. 1. To the punk behind the counter...... I understand you think it's better for business to let your customers ramble on and on and on about the supreme audacity of the existence of the thc molecule. Fine. At the point at which you start repeating yourself about  ' how long the flight to Asia is', ' I'm a survivor ' etc, etc, etc when there are 5 groups waiting for help you need to make it less about you. Instead of talking back when I expressed displeasure at what you were doing you should have promptly owned your lack of regard for basic retail procedures and got the attention of the 3 employees that all disappeared or the two in front to get me what I needed. 2. To the manager that talked back, not once did you apologize , not once did you try to own the severe lack of professionalism of your staff all disappearing with so many people waiting. You did not offer me a free ballpoint pen even. You just did not want to deal with it or perhaps lack the experience to turn a negative into a positive.3. It's unfortunate that an obese, middle aged sexual and ethnic minority who presents as ' working class ' was treated in such a manner in a part of town legendary for exclusion. I'm not stating that's why I was treated the way I was but as a majority of my clients have some similar attributes I can't take a risk of them being handled in such an inefficient and offensive manner so I'll keep sending 100's of stoners a year to Grass Roots.

Very friendly and quick service only had to wait a couple minutes before being seen. Amazing check in process and also got 5 bucks off my order because it was my first visit and signed up for the free membership. The girl that helped me was great gave me a bunch of different options and didn't rush me. Will be coming back!

I went in with my dog, Zeus today to get him some cbd oil.  Everyone was so nice and friendly and welcomed my large dog!  I will be going back!

I was a big supporter of this venue coming to my neighborhood but let's talk about the change in their service and prices - they jack up their prices the same as every other greedy business.  I switched to Eaze - they give daily discounts and much cheaper and they deliver.  Apothecarium doesn't have specials or give discounts - guess they'll be like Barney's and look where there at - check out Eaze.

Terrible selection for marijuana enthusiasts. The interior is beautiful but that's all this place has going for them.

This was my first dispensary experience a few months ago. After going to a well known dispensary  in Oakland today, I realized how proper The Apothecarium runs their business. At the time I went to The Apothecarium, they had a good selection to choose from. I mainly went for CBD. The person who helped me was really knowledgeable about CBD and helped me choose which one worked best for me. Their staff was nice too & they seemed to care about their customers. After being highly disappointed by my experience today at another dispensary, I look forward to returning to the Apothecarium.

I was falsely accused of intoxication and told to exit the store. I am on a first name basis with multiple staff members. The staff made no attempt to help me understand what I had done "wrong" , had I not followed up with them I would have been left clueless as to why I had wasted 45 minutes worth of travel time in order to come to my preferred cannabis club. When I asked for clarification the staff acted as if I was some sort of villain sent to waste their time.

This is by far the nicest dispensary I've been to! Great selection and knowledgeable staff to ensure you get the desired benefit that works for you!

So I understand this location had a lot of controversy when it opened opening a cannabis shop in a predominately Caucasian neighborhood. Oddly enough the clientele in the majority are marina snobs, first time Cannabis buyers breaking their taboo, some chill folks and tourists. I'm writing this because Apothecarium has a reputation as a "upscale" dispensary in SF yet does not continuously deliver on key things! Price! - Coming in to purchase flower is a convenient mumbo across the street but I often find my flower purchases coming up short of quality for price. Honestly you should be selling nothing Sun/Outdoor or pot with water leaves for over $25-30 an eight which can be found most places in the city which here minimum is $35-40. Check Barbary Coast for their good bud $40 half's or $80 random specials they have. It's worth the trip downtown if your not too busy and they have a smoke and dab lounge. Their service is always quick and sweet. I find a good portion of my batches looking small and drier smelling weak from apoth. How do you expect to charge a wacky price for bammer weed. You may be able to get over on them white folk but some of us like I, a 14 year smoker of the age of 26. I know my shit. Honestly the larger erk for me about profiteers in the pot industry.Service- Most of your Staff is nice and friendly, but some don't deliver the lever of service an "upscale" pot shop should deliver. No room for snide aggressive tones or attitudes from employees in a relaxed pot purchasing environment. The tall silver haired lady with the glasses should be gifted the novelty coffee cup that says worlds best employee LOLOL.Systems-would really love not to have to get cash back every time I use my card to buy weed from you guys, assuming it's good(usually not). It's 2019...Just as a virtual reminder.I'm not a wealthy middle upper class pot smoker...at the moment but I see you are sure getting over on some rich peoples dollar. And your top shelf is beyond price inflated. Pot smoking legends are rolling in their graves at SFs weak bud game. I guess with all my blah though is there a reason why y'all tax so much? Other than state/pot tax(duh)

On May 13, 2018 Sunday Mother's Day. Right after lunch,  my son and I came here to buy 2x Kana Sour Strawberry cone, viperizers Highlighte cartridge-Sativa and Edibles G S Bright Blooms. It's pricy but it's worth it. All the employee was very helpful and friendly. This place is a nice place and cozy. .

It's like walking into a 5-Star hotel lobby. Personal are bright, friendly and courteous. The menu selection is superb. Clearly, the best dispensary in town.

Knowledgeable, quick and easy set up. Really love their staffs attitudes and design of the venue. Tons of choices and price ranges. I have back pain and migraines so edibles, etc are very helpful.

My favorite place in the Marina. Great selection, design and customer service. Every time I stop by I learn something new.

The worth customer service and bad product experience. The.concirge was rude and had o clue on how to treat the customers. The product I bough was laced with something that gave terrible headache. Never, ever going back there.

Wow such a classy spot. Defiantly good service makes me feel like I am guest at a 5 star hotel.

The bar has been set! I can no longer go into any other dispensary because I am disappointed they are not the Apothecarium. The selection, presentation, experience and service were all top notch and I was really happy with the fruit edibles I got and can't wait to go back!

Ehhh this place is weird. The staff are friendly but the store experience is too hipster boutique for my tastes. I honestly would not have minded the store concept if the service was prompt, but unfortunately they were not even busy and it took over ten minutes for me to speak with a bud tender. It would be nice if they were able to change their service model to be more efficient in processing customers who clearly know what they want and those that need the entire menu explained.

The dude checking me out stopped the checkout process to give me a lecture about using the f word in one of my sentences. Because it "might" offend someone and they "could" leave a bad review. And it wasn't like a low key "hey keep it down man" it was a full on, stopped what he was doing, lecture. Well ya got that bad review now bud. Funny thing is, I was talking to my friend and said "omg I fucking love that..." not even directed toward him or anyone in a bad way. And instead of letting it go or hurrying up with the checkout process, he stopped the process and lectured me at full volume in front of the store about how using profanity in any way in life isn't professional. Well... Fuckkkkk you dude. It's a weed store. And for the record, I don't work for you. You work for me. Got it? Don't tell me how to structure my language. No one was offended. You chose to offend me, in case someone "might" be offended. People who weren't even in earshot. Great logic. Social Justice Nazi smh

First time going to a cannabis dispensary. Couldn't have been a better experience! They were everything you would want. Professional, welcoming, helpful, informative!From the moment we walked in --- Mike M was wonderful. Welcomed us, explained how it worked, went over the menu with us and answered our questions. He was Fabulous!Bethany was registering me. Friendly, professional, welcoming as well! Ted was my consultant about what to buy. Patiently answered all my questions, gave great recommendations.  Made me feel comfortable and in good hands. Great place to go for first timers and old timers alike.Extensive menu --- clearly written out with a great selection. I will definitely go back!!!

High end dispensary with an individual approach to service. It's been my go-to for a while now and the staff is very helpful. Their selection of edibles is somewhat limited and inconsistent strength, occasionally they'll be a wait but that's the trade off for the individual service. Overall a good experience.

Rude staff. Very uptight. Taking the fun out of weed... Order online from one of the many other dispensaries instead. **UPDATE**: after posting this the manager replied with a comment accusing me of being inebriated at the store!! What?! I was not inebriated. And I never even saw someone that looks like this man that's accusing me of being inebriated. Judgement all around at this place, I guess. Real bummer.

Very nice and clean place. The people upfront were super friendly and professional as well as the person I called to get some information from. This is my first time to anything like this and they made me feel very comfortable and not awkward at all. I talked to one of the people there about my situation and what I was looking for and she was friendly and gave me her recommendations. I felt that there could have been a little more help showing me how to do things and maybe explain a little better but I did get enough Information to figure it out on my own. It was quite simple actually. My only reason for one the last star than perfect it was the fact that parking is terrible. The one thing I appreciate about this place is that they do warn you on their website that parking is difficult but it took me quite a while to find a spot remotely near. Besides that I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great service clean place in safe place backed up with fantastic people and great prices.

If this was my only option for cannabis I would have to quit. The people, process and product are not quality. You are made to feel like an addict or worse, the stiff atmosphere and rigid staff are not helpful. There are several much better options in SF.

Probably the best in the city- glad they opened this second location in the Marina.  Excellent service excellent menu and very fervently staff!

Exceptional design, staff, and quality of products.  The space raises the bar for cannabis dispensaries (I'm a fan of the blue velvet chairs and moss wall!).  The entire staff focuses on helping new patients navigate the myriad of products available in a comfortable and discreet setting.  These people love what they're doing and it shows in their taste and the experience they've crafted for their patients.

Only a few visits, but I've found the personnel less patient and possibly less knowledgeable than the folks at Apothecarium on Market. However, i haven't had to wait any of the times I've shopped here.

I decided to go there a few times and it's been much better. I think the manager is doing his best to make this a great place. I have no bad experiences since I last posted a review.

Ok wow.  My very first dispensary experience.  Don't judge me as I didnt inhale. Lol.  Also dont tell my parents!I wasn't sure what to expect but as soon as I walked through the door we were greeted as if we were VIP.  The inside was very upscale and modern looking.  I felt like I was walking into a high end jewelry store about to spend some millions from the way we were treated.  We were told to wait on the benches and we would be attented to shortly.  We had our very own "marijuana salesperson" who showed us menus of what they offered.  Did we like the type that made you feel relaxed and sleepy or did we want one that hyped us up?  Did we want the bud, the oil, or the wax version? Did you want a strawberry flavored one, or a pineapple? Geez the list was endless!  A total pothead's dream!  (Nope not me, but Im just sayin').  There were also edibles to choose from - gummies, cookies, and I forget the others.After narrowing down the choices, our sales guy asked us if we wanted to smell the product.   I mean sure, why not?!  The "product" was all nicely packaged in these cute glass jar containers, just ready to be sniffed.  We were able to choose one from there and went with the pineapple bud and some gummies.Our sales guy was very knowledgeable too.  Did he go to Marijuana University and take weed smoking 101 to know all this stuff? Who knows what them Cali peeps do.  But this was a pretty dope experience.  Pun intended.

Menu is great, the space is awesome, and the budtender was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. However, the host (am I using the  correct title? I'm referring to the person who checks you in, gathers new customer info, etc) was very condescending and rude. There were some boxed, prerolled joints on display in the waiting area, and I went to grab one to read the description, but was rudely, and loudly, informed not to touch anything. Now, in hindsight, I shouldn't have touched the product, especially during covid times. But there are friendlier ways to inform customers of protocols. His tone and volume were not necessary. As a new customer, this rubbed me the wrong way and I'll likely avoid this dispensary in the future.

Avoid this location.  Go to the other locations; much better service, and miles more accommodating to an unsatisfactory purchase made.  Avoid this location.

People talk about the Apothecarium like it's the be all and end all of dispensaries. I disagree, so don't walk in here with those expectations. It's definitely nice/boujie and has many options, don't get me wrong, but I think it loses the dispensary intimate experience. They have this giant menu that is filled with choices, too overwhelming if you aren't sure what you want. I felt bad asking the "budtender" to grab each product so I could read the packaging. I think this is where some of my reservations came from, while in a smaller dispensary you can read/touch/feel the products.My star rating:5  - I would be a regular customer 4 - would go back again3  - probably try a different place2  - not very satisfied1  - turnaround and run

Overall, I thought this place was very different from what I'm used to. I'm used to ghetto non-descript alley ways, getting buzzed into a gate, walking into a dingy little office to fill out paperwork, then having security call me over and being transported to a graffiti-ridden, black light room with interesting characters and being served by a budtender with more than 10 visible piercings. When I came here, I was greeted by two nice gentleman who had me fill out some things on their fancy pads, then directed to some plush seats as I waited to be called. I was then served by an immaculately dressed gentleman, who then showed me the menu of all their goodies. I was pleased to see that they had a few PAX pods, as well as some interesting edibles as well. I came on a weekend when they were out of many things, so I was limited in my options, but still managed to come out with what I needed. You are definitely paying for the clean, tidy place and professional service in addition to your buds, but that might not be a bad thing? I couldn't shake off the feeling of being in a different reality, as the shop was set up so nicely.

The most helpful and educated staff I've come across in the dispensaries in the Bay Area. The Lombard team especially has some smart folks working there and although the menu is small the team there knows their products and I've always walked away happy and informed. Great location next to some quality restaurants as well. If you want to talk to someone knowledgeable on cannabis this is the place to go.

I get that things don't go as planned especially with Covid but I will say, these people are efficient and know their stuff.  Love the convenience of their location.  Here's the constructive feedback: lose the condescending tone.  If I say, 'is that like X'? No need to say, 'well, like I SAID...' it's tough times for everyone.  I'll still come. I like the place.  But I wanna feel good when I'm in there, not just after I make the purchase!

Recently I bought the Puffco Plus dab pipe at the Marina District Apothicarium.  It did not work but 1 time and the good folks at the store replaced it for me.  It happened again. Both times the device burned itself out by dispelling all the stored energy at once in the first use.  This time the store directed me to Puffco customer service.The folks at the Apothicarium are stellar.  They are nice and wanted to help but but could not again take responsibility so I worked with Puffco support.  I don't wish that on anyone.I did finally receive a replacement part and my device works but Puffco Support sent the wrong color.  The middle piece of my pipe is black and the top and bottom rainbow.  It works.  The folks at the store are nice and it was a tough position for them to be in. They say there have not been problems w Puffco products before. I believe what they say.

I would not advise visiting unless too lazy to go elsewhere. Have been using this dispensary for months, and it's been consistent frustration and issues. On top of that, the budtenders for the most part are uneducated on the product. Can't give feedback on effect other than staring at what's on the website 'sativa hybrid...' Generally unhelpful and a couple of them are just truly bizarre and hard to deal with. It's not a pleasant experience and on top of that the prices are way higher than competitors, for the same products, within 5 minutes of this location. I also find their selection to be average and stale. The only positive is it's clean.Very few redeeming qualities about The Apothecarium. I've given up. I recommend you do the same and seek better alternatives.

The daytime sativa pre roll is pretty wild, at $11, $14 after tax it will mess you up, never tried anything else there. I just did one and destroyed a whole package of Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies.

I stepped one second in front if this stupid shop and the white haired shirt man at the entrance immediately told me not to block the door-please don’t insult your customers

The Sour Watermelon gummies were awesome. I realised that they were way too strong (I think 10 mg each of THC). So, I found a nice balance eating 1/3 per night and had great sleep.

Poor customer service nowadays, used be really good back in the day by a male greeter I no longer see here.

Down from Oregon for Stanford Cancer visit and am in The City couple days. Thought I’d stop into my old SF haunt the Apothecarium and check it out. No customers were in store. Made my stand outside in wind while ID checked. Could have done this inside. Ghetto Attitude. I asked for an infused preroll. Easy enough one would think. Either you have. Or you don’t. But please DO NOT show me a 23 mg THC joint and attempt to charge $20 for it. And certainly don’t call it infused.I see why the place was empty. With Neanderthals working the counter and little Miss Security guard listening in the conversation. Glad I live in southern Oregon. People are mellow product is real. NO NEED TO EVER COME BACK!
